That’s what President-elect Donald Trump apparently told his former nemesis after booting him from consideration as Secretary of State.
Rumors circulated on Twitter late Monday that Trump had called Romney to tell him he’s not being picked for the high-profile Cabinet post.

The failed presidential candidate must have learned something from the experience, as he confirmed the media scuttlebutt in a Facebook post, writing:
It was an honor to have been considered for Secretary of State of our great country. My discussions with President-elect Trump have been both enjoyable and enlightening. I have very high hopes that the new administration will lead the nation to greater strength, prosperity and peace.
Not surprisingly, the reactions on social media have come fast and furious.
Many Trump loyalists never forgave Romney for trying to derail a Trump victory and repeatedly slamming him as a “phony, a fraud and a con man.”

Trump will reveal his Secretary of State pick on Tuesday amid reports that his choice is longtime Exxon Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson.
In a bizarre twist, former Trump adviser Roger Stone is bragging on Twitter that Trump had been punking Romney and was never serious about considering him for a Cabinet post. One headline read: “Donald Trump pretended to consider Romney for Secretary of State ‘to torture him.’”
